It’s compatible with any of three 40v batteries (2Ah/4Ah/5Ah) that have been developed and produced in-house by Stiga; and which are based around advanced lithium-ion cells*.

Lithium-ion batteries have numerous advantages over older lead-acid and ni-cad units - they’re faster charging and offer longer run-times; they don’t suffer from self-discharge or memory-effect issues; and they’re far more durable.

The Stiga BL 500e 48v Cordless Battery Leaf-Blower boasts a variable speed control, which firstly enables you make adjustments to suit the type of surface you’re working on and the nature of the debris you’re clearing; and secondly makes it possible to manage energy consumption and run-time (speed-setting is via an electronic keypad).

An optimised direct-axial turbine design works to minimise sound-output, thereby making it ideal for use where noise might be a problem; a brushless motor – rated at a hefty 500w – means you can be confident of longevity, reliability and efficiency.

Ultra-lightweight, this model comes-in at only 2.6kg (excluding battery-pack).
